Meet Prepper Patty

Prepared, not paranoid.

You don’t need a bunker.

You don’t need 47 tactical flashlights, a pallet of beans, or a secret code name for your basement.

And you definitely don’t need to spend your life waiting for the world to end.

You just need to know what to do when something goes sideways.

Welcome to Prepper Patty, where preparedness is practical, approachable, occasionally ridiculous, and—dare we say it?—fun.

We’re here for the everyday prepper.

The person who sees an Instagram freeze-drying video and suddenly needs to know whether cheesecake can survive the apocalypse.

The person who learns to refinish an old dresser and realizes, Wait. I can actually fix things.

The gardener who grows their first tomato. The suburban beekeeper. The woman who finally makes a family evacuation plan. The guy who learns how to shut off the water to his own house before a pipe bursts.

Because preparedness isn’t really about predicting disaster.

It’s about becoming more capable.

What Are We Preparing For?

Tuesday.

Seriously.

Yes, Prepper Patty talks about hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, pandemics, blackouts, supply-chain disruptions, economic uncertainty and those rare moments when the news makes you wonder whether grabbing the go-bag might actually be a good idea.

But emergencies are usually much less cinematic.

The power goes out.

The credit-card system goes down.

A storm closes the roads.

The grocery shelves empty.

Your water gets shut off.

Your car breaks down somewhere with no cell service.

Someone gets hurt.

You have to evacuate—and suddenly discover nobody knows where the cat carrier is.

Preparedness means you’ve already thought about what happens next.

Less Shopping. More Doing.

There is an entire industry ready to sell you preparedness.

We’d rather teach you preparedness.

That means actually packing the go-bag.

Actually testing the emergency radio.

Learning how to purify water instead of simply owning a filter.

Cooking dinner from the prepper pantry.

Growing something edible.

Practicing the evacuation route.

Learning first aid.

Figuring out where your important documents are.

Trying freeze-drying, canning, gardening, beekeeping, repairing, restoring, building, cooking, preserving and all the wonderfully useful things previous generations simply called knowing how to do stuff.

Every skill you learn makes you a little harder to knock down.

And that’s the point.

Welcome to Preparedness Without the Doom

Prepper Patty isn’t interested in scaring you into preparing.

Fear is exhausting.

Confidence is useful.

So we’ll talk about serious subjects without turning every headline into Armageddon. We’ll learn how to recognize legitimate warning signs without assuming the sky is perpetually falling. We’ll explore what to keep at home, what to carry, what to learn, what to practice and what probably isn’t worth your money.

Sometimes we’ll prepare for a hurricane.

Sometimes we’ll figure out how to grow potatoes.

Sometimes we’ll learn what belongs in a 72-hour kit.

And sometimes we’ll become completely obsessed with freeze-drying Skittles because apparently preparedness has hobbies now.

We’re good with that.

The Prepper Patty Podcast Is Back

The Prepper Patty Podcast is your beginner-friendly guide to becoming more prepared, capable and self-reliant—one doable thing at a time.

No survivalist PhD required.

Each episode gives you something to learn, investigate, practice or actually do so you’re more prepared when you finish than you were when you pressed play.

We’re starting with the fundamentals and building from there: water, food, communication, power outages, emergency planning, go-bags, first aid, home preparedness, evacuation, situational awareness, useful skills and a whole lot more.

You don’t have to become a hardcore prepper overnight.

In fact, we’d rather you didn’t.

Just do the next thing.

Pack the bag.
Plant the seeds.
Fill the water containers.
Learn the skill.
Make the plan.
Teach your kids.
Meet your neighbors.
Practice once.

Then come back and we’ll tackle the next thing together.

Because the Ultimate Survival Tool Isn’t in Your Go-Bag.

It’s you.

The more you know, the more you can do.

The more you practice, the less frightening the unexpected becomes.

And somewhere along the way, something interesting happens:

You stop feeling like you’re preparing for the end of the world…

…and start realizing you’re getting really damn good at living in this one.

Welcome to Prepper Patty.

Let’s get prepared.
